Meet the New Colors Tab: AI-Powered Palettes for Your Videos
Videobolt has more than 20,000 templates, all created by real designers. And with some templates offering dozens of individual color controls, making one truly your own can take time. You have to change colors one by one, figure out which ones work together, and keep going before you can really see what the finished look will be. If it doesn’t work, you’re back to tweaking colors again.
So instead of building another color picker, we taught our AI to understand how each template uses color. This technology now looks at the template and its controls, identifies the role different colors play, and understands what needs to stay readable, what belongs together and what should be left alone.
The new Colors tab inside our template editor uses that understanding to match each template with palettes that actually work on it.
Find a new look in one click
In the template editor, open Colors from the options on the left, and under the Palettes tab you get to see a selection of Suggested palettes made for the template you’re working with. Each one is previewed directly on the template, so you can see the result before applying it. Pick a look, hit Apply, and all the colors change together.
The template still behaves like the original design – text stays readable, related colors move together, glows keep their effect, and colors that shouldn’t be recolored can stay untouched. If you like a palette but want a different take on it, More like this shows similar options and other ways to arrange the same colors, keeping the same overall feel.
Behind the suggestions is a library of more than 128,000 palettes, matched to the template rather than randomly generated.
Start with your (brand) colors …
You can also start from colors you regularly use – or simply the ones that feel right for what you’re making today. Add up to three under Your colors, or pick them from your Brand Kit. Your palettes show different ways to use only the colors you’ve chosen across the template.
Below that, Suggested palettes are rebuilt around your colors too – keeping them in every palette while adding complementary colors to create richer, ready-to-use combinations.
… and adjust anything you want
A palette is a starting point, not a locked result. Use Scheme to change a whole color group at once, or open the Fine-tune tab to edit individual colors. Applying a palette is also just one Undo step, so it’s easy to experiment and go back.
AI takes care of the repetitive part of recoloring. You choose the direction – and keep control of the final look. Open a template in Videobolt and try the new Colors tab. Happy creating!
