How to Create a Stunning Anime-Themed Lyric Video Using AI
With the specific use of AI technologies and Videobolt's specialized templates, you now have the power to create customized, anime-style lyric videos. The best part? Your videos won't just feature generic anime visuals — they'll be custom-designed to mirror the lyrics and emotions of your specific song. To simplify your creative process, below is a streamlined 10-step guide complete with a Videobolt template tailored specifically for crafting anime-themed lyric videos.
Before we dive in, take a moment to explore the Anime Lyrics template we'll use in the tutorial — one of the 13,100+ creative options available on Videobolt.
Step 1: Craft your SRT file
First things first: you'll need an SRT file with your song's lyrics and their timing. Don't have one yet? No worries. Videobolt's user-friendly Lyric Editor has got you covered. An SRT file will serve as the backbone of your lyric video, seamlessly syncing your lyrics with the on-screen text.
For the purposes of this tutorial, we selected the song "Shut Up" by Mindme, which is currently part of the free collection offered through the Epidemic Sound integration on Videobolt. We effortlessly created the SRT file using Videobolt's Lyric Editor, laying the groundwork for a lyric video that promises both visual allure and perfect synchronization.
Step 2: Summarize lyrics with Chat GPT
You're not here for just any backdrop. You want an anime-inspired visual that truly vibes with your song. So, how do we make this a reality?
Below, you'll find a widget that gives you a Chat GPT prompt. It helps you boil down your song into a 200-character essence. Just paste your full lyrics into the widget, click "Copy prompt," and paste it into Chat GPT. This step sets the course for your project's creative direction.
Absolutely, we wanted to walk the talk, so we took the lyrics of "Shut Up" by Mindme and used our widget to generate a Chat GPT prompt. What we got back was an engaging summary:
The song portrays a toxic romantic relationship where the narrator is at their wits' end with their partner's empty promises and deceptive ways. Initially charmed, the narrator now sees the partner as a 'liability' and 'poison.' The chorus screams exasperation, urging the partner to 'shut up' for their absurd excuses. The narrator admits to emotional vulnerability but ultimately chooses self-preservation over staying in a harmful relationship. The song grapples with love's complexities and the importance of self-love.
Step 3: Identify the keywords
Up next, use the widget below to produce a Chat GPT prompt aimed at identifying the top three keywords that resonate with your song. Simply paste your 200-character summary into the widget, hit "Copy prompt", and then take the resulting prompt to Chat GPT.
Taking this step with our example song, we extracted these defining keywords: "Toxic," "Exasperation," and "Self-Preservation." These keywords will serve as our artistic compass, steering the creation of a lyric video that beautifully aligns with the song's essence.
Step 4: Create three scenarios
Here's where the real magic unfolds. And yes, we're tapping into the prowess of GPT once again. This time, it's all about utilizing our embedded prompt generator to guide Chat GPT in crafting three distinct scenarios, with each scenario composed of a title and a description.
Thanks to Chat GPT's keyword suggestions from Step 3, we got the ball rolling. The outcome? Three unique scenarios, each with a title and description:
SCENARIO #1
Title: Toxic Love's Thorns
Description: A couple stands amidst thorny vines, their love entwined with toxicity, symbolizing the struggle and pain of a relationship poisoned by deception.
SCENARIO #2
Title: Exasperated Argument
Description: Characters engage in a heated argument, their expressions marked by exasperation, capturing the intensity and emotions of a relationship at a breaking point.
SCENARIO #3
Title: Path to Liberation
Description: A character walks away from a toxic relationship, embarking on a solitary path towards self-preservation, symbolizing the choice to prioritize personal well-being.
Step 5: Generate a Midjourney prompt
With your scenarios ready, to create your Midjourney prompts, you'll need to use the widget below three times, once for each scenario. Ensure you select your preferred aspect ratio in the widget.
Now, head over to Midjourney and paste your generated prompt. Browse the resulting images and select the set that most captivates you. Midjourney put together a detailed visual Quick Start Guide, so be sure to check it out if you're stuck at any point.
For demonstration, we used this step with the three scenarios we conceived for our example song. Our scenarios "Toxic Love's Thorns", "Exasperated Argument" and "Path to Liberation" were the backbone of our Midjourney prompt. This resulted in three diverse sets of images that visually embodied each of these emotional themes.
After careful consideration, we opted for the "Path to Liberation" image set, as it most compellingly depicted the emotional undercurrents of the song. Specifically, we were drawn to image 2 from the set, which features a girl on a staircase. This particular image eloquently captured the essence of "Shut Up" symbolizing the journey toward emotional freedom.
Step 6: Personalize the Anime Lyrics template
Navigate to Videobolt and opt for our Anime Lyrics template, tailored to your selected aspect ratio. Insert your chosen image background to make your video uniquely yours. Look to the left-hand side of the Videobolt template editor to find the Media section. This is your hub for uploading all necessary assets. Slot your song file into the Track placeholder. Next, load your SRT file into the Lyrics section. Finally, place the image you've selected into the Background placeholder. Now you're set to merge these elements into your custom, anime-inspired lyric video.
Here is how our lyrics look on top of the Midjourney-generated image.
However, we wanted the lyrics to appear at the bottom of the screen. To do that, in the Videobolt template editor, we selected Bottom Center under Text Position in the Customize > Effects menu. Here is the result.
Step 7: Fine-tune the lyric positioning
Now, take a moment to review the lyrics against your chosen background image. If the text isn't easy to read or if you believe the layout could be improved, you may need to adjust your canvas in Midjourney. You can pan the image in any direction — up, down, left, or right — to enhance readability and overall aesthetics.
We encountered this very issue, so we headed back to Midjourney to expand the canvas by panning the image downward. Take a look at our refined result.
You'll notice that expanding the canvas on Midjourney will change the aspect ratio. However, when you upload the modified image to Videobolt, you can simultaneously use our cropping tool to maintain your desired aspect ratio.
Step 8: Elevate your font game
Time to dig deeper into customization. Navigate to "Customize" in Videobolt's editor to select your font. You have the liberty to upload your own font or pick from Google Fonts.
For an anime vibe, we recommend the following Google Fonts, all free to use: Megrim, Pacifico, Changa (we went for this one for our tutorial video), Russo One or Kumar One. Choose the one that harmonizes with your vision.
Step 9: Enchant with particle effects
For that final magical touch, further explore the Customize menu on the left-hand side of the Videobolt template editor. You can add a variety of particle effects, such as Snow, Fire, Green Leaf, Autumn Leaf, Sakura Leaf, or Rain, to truly animate your video.
In our case, we experimented with all the available options and found that the "Fire" effect resonated best with the emotional undertones of our chosen song. We've embedded the final version of our lyric video below to showcase the impact of this added element.
Step 10: Produce and download your masterpiece
Happy with your edits? Hit "Produce & Download." In moments, your high-resolution, anime-themed lyric video will be ready for the world to see.
