Discover New Videobolt Experience With Our Latest Platform Updates
At Videobolt, we’ve always been focused on giving you the best possible experience when creating your next big project. Listening to your feedback, we've noticed certain areas of our platform that could work even better. That’s why we rethought platform navigation to create a more intuitive and efficient experience. Our latest update is more than just a few changes in names — it’s about connecting the dots, making sure your assets and projects, and resources you need come together in a seamless, efficient workflow. We’re committed to making your creative experience as smooth as possible, so keep your feedback coming — we’re listening.
Here's what you need to know about how we've made Videobolt simpler, smarter, and ready to help you create without unnecessary steps or distractions.
Simplified navigation with updated headers and menus
As we looked at how users interact with our platform, it became clear that some of the names didn’t quite match the way you work. To address this, we renamed certain header sections and updated dropdown menus to make navigation and platform more user-friendly.
We’ve renamed the Videos section to Projects to reflect that creating a video often involves managing multiple elements, such as transitions, overlays, and animated backgrounds. Now, in the updated Projects dropdown, you’ll find just two categories: Drafts and Exports. The Exports section brings together all the things you created on Videobolt, whether they’re template exports or videos made with Simple Video Tools, so you can keep track of everything in one convenient place.
The Media section is now called Assets, as it more accurately describes the place where you add, manage, and organize your files. Following the same logic, the former Media Library in the dropdown menu has become Asset Library, reflecting its role in storing and browsing your uploads, imports, and recently used assets.
Here’s a list of various file types supported in our asset library:
Image: JPG, PNG, SVG, BMP
Audio: WAV, MP4,M4A
Video: MP4, AVI, MOV
Font: OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2
Subtitles: SRT
Lastly, the Tools section has been replaced with Resources, which is now becoming a central hub for all the features and support you need to create your best work. The Resources dropdown now includes additions like Blog and important links that were previously in the footer, such as Champion Authors, Design Community, and Sell Your templates. We’ve also added links to Help, Contact us, and our Affiliate program pages as they fit more naturally within this section.
Faster asset management for smoother workflows
We’ve redesigned the Asset Library to make managing your files on Videobolt simpler. Previously called the Media Library, this redesigned section introduces a clearer structure to help you organize your media. When you access the Asset Library, you'll find the root folder on the left hand side neatly divided into three subcategories:
Uploads for files added directly from your computer
Imports for stock assets from external libraries
Recently used for quick access to assets you’ve worked with most recently
To help you navigate, the folder you’re viewing is highlighted in blue, with its contents displayed on the right for easy access.
To further streamline your workflow, we’ve made Exports folders directly accessible within the Asset Library, placing Template Exports and Video Tools Exports alongside your assets for a more cohesive experience. Having all your projects and assets in one place saves time, keeping your creative process smooth and efficient. No more switching between sections — with all your files right where you need them, it’s easy to keep your projects moving forward.
Clearer editor copy
To make the editor more user-friendly, we’ve aligned our wording with standard video terminology. The Produce & Download button is now called Export to align with industry standards. This change is reflected consistently throughout the Editor — wherever you previously saw Produce, you’ll now see Export.
We’ve also updated the Media section to Placeholders to more accurately reflect its role in the editing process and make it clearer which elements of the templates are customizable. This new term better describes the area where you can videos, audio, images, or text to make them truly your own. Just like with Export, this change is consistent across the Editor, keeping everything straightforward and easy to understand.
More intuitive uploads to Simple Video Tools
With the recent update, we’ve simplified how you upload videos to Simple Video Tools. To make managing your files more straightforward, the new upload menu now offers just two options: Upload directly from your computer or access the Asset Library. As mentioned earlier, the Asset Library provides everything you need in one place, neatly organized into categories like Uploads, Imports, and Recently Used for your assets, as well as Template Exports and Video Tools Exports for exported Videobolt videos. This update keeps things simple, allowing you to find your files faster and stay focused on creating.
What do these changes mean for you?
These updates are designed to make your workflow smoother and more efficient. By connecting Projects and Assets and bringing all Resources together, we’ve made using our platform more natural and easy to navigate. With these adjustments of our platform, you’ll spend less time managing menus and more time focusing on creating videos. We hope these improvements make your creative process faster, more productive, and most importantly — more enjoyable.
